The boil order that has been affecting the area between 7th and 14th Avenue since about 1 p.m. on Thursday is tentatively ending around 3:30 p.m. today, said Julie Stone, board manager of the CSL.
Stone said that the Augustana administration sent out an email to the staff that the boil order may possibly end at that time. No word yet on an official ending time.
A water main break at around 1 a.m. on Thursday at the corner of 36th Street and 14th Avenue was the cause of the boil order for this section of Rock Island.
