The final stretch: ways to make it through spring term

(1) New season, new you?

Build new habits spring term. Strive to be more organized and plan ahead because spring term gets busy. Start by actually using that planner you bought at the beginning of the year. Clean out that room, box or drawer you said you would but never did. Spring cleaning is your friend. You got this, Queen!

(2) Stay fresh to death!

You can actually stand outside for longer than 10 minutes without getting frostbite and it’s finally time to wear those  bright colors! Keep some long sleeves and pants because let’s be honest, we’re in Rock Island, and who knows what the weather’s going to be like. Become a fashionista with your new spring style. Dress well, feel well,  am I right?

(3) Reward yourself!

Reward yourself for being a good noodle. Finished that major assignment you’ve been working on for a week? Go grab yourself a treat or watch some Netflix (not for too long though, you’ve got better things to do). Life gets tough, don’t forget to reward yourself for making it through.

(4) Have fun!

It’s the last time you’ll ever have trimesters at Augustana. It may even be your last term at Augie (good luck out there in the real world, my fellow seniors). Make spring term great! Explore the Quad Cities. Spend time with your friends before you part ways for the summer. Try new things, but don’t get too wild, honey.

(5) Take care of yourself.

In the midst of the chaos that is spring term, you can forget about yourself. Don’t. Set some alone time aside for your own sake and comfort. Like the flowers in spring, make sure you grow this term. Take a mental break every once in a while. Your brain will thank me later.
