The Vikings beat the number nine ranked team North Central College with a 75-64 win on the road to move to 14-1 overall.
With this win, Giovanine’s squad leads the CCIW with a record of 4-0 in conference play. The team has 10 more conference games left this season. The Vikings gave North Central’s Cardinals their second loss of the season, which makes the Cardinal’s record 3-1 in the conference.
Key contributors for the Vikings included senior guard Danielius Jurgutis with a game-high 18 points. Others scoring to help secure the win were junior forward Brandon Motzel with 10 points, junior forward Ben Ryan with nine points and junior guard Hunter Hill with the same.
After being out for more than a month due to an injury, senior forward Nic Hoepfner saw playing time, adding nine buckets for the Vikings, as well.
The team’s next game will be at home this Saturday against Wheaton. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
