Mask mandate lifted in classrooms

The college announced today that starting this Monday, April 4 masks will no longer be required in classrooms. The last time students were unmasked in classrooms was March of 2020. This means that as of Monday, masks will be optional campus-wide for the first time in two years.

Professors may continue to require masks in their classrooms for various reasons. In order to do so, individual faculty members will need to get special approval from the Provost office. According to the college, these measures will remain in place unless there is new guidance from the CDC or a sudden rise in COVID-19 cases on campus.
