Forum to be held on armed public safety

The Student Government Association’s Administrative Liaison Committee, along with the Dean of Students office and Public Safety will be hosting a forum for students to discuss the issue of whether or not to arm Public Safety officers. The forum will take place today, Dec.12, at 6 p.m. in Hanson Hall 102. The forum will provide students with more information and an idea of where the Administration’s thoughts on the issue, as well as the current state of their decision making process. Students will be able to ask any questions and raises concerns over the issue. Dean Campbell, Chief of Public Safety Tom Phillis, and Assistant Chief of Security Mark Beckwith will be present.
