With the upcoming NCAA Division III tournament occurring on Friday, many Augustana students are considering taking either the Office of Student Life and Leadership fan bus, or providing their own transportation to Salem, Va.
However, while the school encourages attendance at the game to support the men’s basketball tam, this will not cause a cancellation of classes on Thursday or Friday, according to the Dean of Students office.
“Absences are not excused to attend the basketball game,” said Dean Evelyn Campbell. “If students plan to attend the game on Friday, they are encouraged to meet with their professors beforehand and find out if they will be able to make up the work.”
