Men's basketball receives first round bye in in NCAA tournament

The Augustana men’s basketball team, after winning the CCIW tournament on Feb. 28, has received the no. 1 seed and the first round bye in in the NCAA Division III national tournament.
The Vikings will host the winner of the DePauw University and Washington University in St. Louis game, happening on March 5 in St. Louis, on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Roy J. Carver Center.
Augustana, whose record is currently 23-4, has won four CCIW championships in the last ten years of the tournament. Last season, Augustana lost to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
