Men's basketball back on top of rankings

Out of the 25 votes allocated, the men’s basketball team stole 24 of the 25 first-place votes. University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, who fell to the Vikings in a 96-94 loss in December, maintained their number two spot in the poll.
This will be the second time that Augustana holds the number one spot this season. The team sat at number one during weeks one and two of play; however, a loss to Central College resulted in a drop to number four in week three.
After taking eight victories in a row, the Vikings hopped back to the number one spot. The team will next defend their top spot Wednesday when they play North Central College, who is currently ranked ninth.
