Tickets are running out for the basketball tournament at Augustana starting Friday, with Sports Information Director Dave Wrath estimating that the tickets will be sold out by opening tip-off.
Wrath estimated that at 3 p.m. on Friday about 1,800 of 2,200 tickets have been sold.
The Carver Center has 1,800 seats, so the 400 tickets still available will be standing room only. The majority of sales on the first day of ticket availability were to adults and the majority of sales on the second day were to students.
The first sectional semifinal game starts at 5:30 p.m. with Marietta College taking on St. Olaf College. The Vikings then play at 7:30 p.m. against the University of Mount Union.
