Junior point guard Hunter Hill wins player of the week honors after last Wednesday’s 96-94 victory over ranked opponent University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Within that game, Hill scored a total of 41 points for the Vikings, including 10 from the three point range and six from the free throw line. Hill scored mostly during the second half with a total of 21 points.
He also helped to contribute in double overtime, with five points in the first and seven in the second. Hill was able to keep turnovers to a minimal, allowing only one in the 44 minutes of action he saw throughout the game.
Not only did Hill score the most points for his team against Whitewater, he currently leads the Vikings in scoring with an average of 16.1 points per game. Additionally, he leads the team in steals, assists, and free throw percentage.
After the men’s win against Whitewater, the Vikings have moved up in ranking from no. 4 to no. 2. Whitewater fell from no. 1 to no. 3.
Hill and the team see action next on Tuesday, December 16 at MacMurray.
