The Student Government Association had no meeting during Week 6 of this term. SGA President Charlie Bentley and the rest of the Executive Board decided that during Homecoming week Senators would be better well-served in the campus community and at events than in a meeting.
SGA Committee meetings should be held throughout the next two weeks, as SGA’s Executive Board will be traveling to Washington DC for an annual conference during Week 7, resulting in no SGA meeting that week either.
The most recent known updates are an SGA Meet n’ Greet planned for Week 8 as well as an upcoming Improve Augie hashtag competition. Details are still to be announced.
Dean’s List incentives are still underway as is the Sloughfest market/festival. Campus and Community Outreach Committees are still new to campus and are encouraged to reach out to students as much as possible. Liaison groups and SGA Senators are keeping in contact to help make Augustana the best it can be.
Students should keep an eye out for the SGA table in the Brew during the week if they have any questions regarding SGA and their plans.
The next SGA meeting will be held Week 8 on Thursday, October 13th.
