On March 21, Augustana College sent out an email announcing the selection of its new provost. Dr. Dianna Shandy from Macalester College in St. Paul Minnesota will begin her position as provost later this year, according to the email.

Current provost Dr. Wendy Hilton-Morrow will be stepping down to return to the classroom as a professor for the 2024-2025 school year after a year-long sabbatical.

This decision was made by the provost search committee after a series of three potential candidate presentations that were open for viewing to the general Augustana population. The committee included staff and faculty from many different offices and areas of study.
