On Monday, March 26 Augustana College first-year Ella Roadruck was arrested by the Rock Island Police Department (RIPD). Earlier this semester, Roadruck alleged she was sexually assaulted and strangled in her dorm room. She is now charged with seven felony counts: one count of obstructing justice and six counts of false report of offense. Roadruck has not entered a plea for any of the seven counts. April 6 was her first appearance in court and the day bond was posted at $3,000. Roadruck’s preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday, May 4.

Whatever happens, I feel like the school could have done a lot more to inform students. Not that we need to know everything but, this was a pretty major event and I’m just very confused.
