Augustana has been well-known for its strong and diverse international and off-campus programs. Each year, students have the opportunities of enrolling in an exchange or break program, doing research or internship in some major cities in the US or in another country, from Denver, D.C. to West Africa, India, Japan, Nicaragua, Rome, London, Australia, etc.
This year, the study away fair will be held in mid-October. There will be 28 tables with representatives from different programs. They could be faculty members, staff or students. In addition to the current exchanges, internship, summer and break programs, there are some brand new programs this year that students have not heard about such as the London term or New Zealand term.
Coming to the study away fair, students will get to know more about the programs offered this year, hear about the experiences from students who have taken part in the programs, and ask questions directly to the people there.
“This will be a great opportunity to talk to directors and students who have done the programs. It will be like a “shopping” tour, essentially,” said Allen Bertsche, director of International/ Off-campus Study.
There will be tables for Residential Life for those who want to learn more about housing options after they come back to campus once they are done with the program. If students want to get more information about scholarships, Augie Choice or grants opportunities, they can come to the financial aid table to ask questions.
The Study Away Fair will be held on Sunday, October 16 from 3-5pm in the Gavle room. Students will get Viking Scores for participating, and a lot of opportunities to get more information.
