After a little over 5 hours on the road, our team stopped in Indianapolis to practice at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, a place rich with Indiana basketball tradition and championship pedigree.
We practiced for about 75 minutes, getting a lot of shots up, running through our sets, and going through defensive breakdowns. The energy from our team was great and we need to maintain that for the remainder of the trip.
Our focus on the task at hand, preparation from game to game, and attention to detail have been keys to our success during this late season surge into the Final Four. Much of that has to do with the ability of our coaching staff to make sure we play with an edge, while also making sure we have fun.
Not many teams have the fortunes of playing this late in the season, but we are taking nothing for granted on our journey and enjoying every moment together.
Look forward to my next post tomorrow morning after breakfast.
