Augustana to perform ‘Figaro’

Doctor Jennifer Popple will showcase playwright Charles Morey’s  “Figaro,” an adaptation of  Pierre Beaumarchais’ “Marriage of Figaro.”
“Figaro” is a comedy about misinterpretations, taking place three years after “The Barber of Seville.” Figaro is about to marry his love Suzanne, but the Count, tired of his wife, attempts to break-up the soon-to-be union.
The show will debut Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Potter Theater in the Bergendoff Hall of Fine Arts.
There will also be performances also on Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday and Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $11 for the public and $9 for senior citizens, students, faculty and staff of Augustana.
