The Augustana College men’s track team won the 4×400 relay at the Drake Relays on Saturday, beating second place finishers Oklahoma Baptist.
In the event, Augustana was the only team from Division III in the field, which featured three Division II teams. Augustana’s time in the event was 3.10.25, while Oklahoma Baptist’s was 3.11.71.
The Augustana relay team also featured three of the four runners from the national championship winning relay team which included: Isaac Smith, David Devore, and David Voland. Freshman Jeffrey Swanson was the newest addition to the relay team. The next Augustana track meet will be the CCIW Championships in Wheaton, Il beginning on May 1.
