The Augustana men’s track and field team claimed their second conference title this year.
The Vikings won 253.5 to North Central’s 250.
The Vikings finished first in the steeplechase, the 400 meter hurdles, the 800 meter run, the hammer throw, the 400 meter dash, the 4×100 and the 4×400.
The meet came down to the 4×400 meter relay where North Central had a six in a half point lead. During the third leg of the race, the North Central runner fell on the track and dislocated his elbow.
The North relay didn’t finish the race, disqualifying them and granting the Vikings their outdoor conference championship.
